Water/Wastewater Manager

The Water/Wastewater manager plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the programs and activities of the Department. Responsible for the planning and design of engineering projects, water quality compliance, plan checking, construction and inspection of facilities and project management; exercises direct supervision over professional, technical and clerical engineering staff assigned to the Water Department; performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Of: Civil engineering principals and practices related to administration, planning, design, construction and operation of water supply, storage, transmission and distribution systems and facilities, as well as wastewater collection facilities.

Manages and implements department goals, objectives, policies and work standards for the engineering activities; directs, develops and participates in the preparation of programs, projects and reports.

1. B.S. degree in Engineering or Environmental Science

2. Minimum of 5 years experience in water/wastewater

3. Experience must include managing water/wastewater projects and staff

4. P.E. or E.I.T. license is desirable

5. Licensing as a wastewater treatment operator or water distribution and treatment operator is also a plus

Pre-employment Drug Test, Haz-mat Physical and Background checks are required.
